"On A String" is the fifth studio recording by Dario Guarino, aka Aged Teen:
11 brand new tracks inspired by the everyday clash between sound and silence, dream and reality; and the characters encountered in both worlds.
All songs were conceived and arranged for acoustic guitar and vocals from the start, unlike Aged Teen's previous works like the electro-acoustic "Time is not on my side" (2018).
Now mistreated, now caressed, Dario's six strings accompany evocative melancholic vocal lines.
'60s and '70s American Singer-Songwriters, '80s New Wave and '90s Alternative Rock are among the many influences behind “On A String”.
The album was recorded at Giancarlo Ippolito's Pro-Drum Studio (twice, to achieve the best results) by the long time skilled sound engineer Maddalena Bellini.
Guest of honor, the talented experimental acoustic guitar player Anna Mancini.
During the re-recording sessions, the track "Half-Remembered Dreams" was used as a première for the new album and the independent director Marco Prato directed a video for it in 2019.
